    I bought a new Citroen C3 6years ago.

everything perfect until a few months ago.

the engine oil went completely dry with no alert. the car Started to smell like burnt.

did the annual revision at citroen (concessionário), as usual. they said everything was ok.

a month later, the engine oil went completely dry again, burnt smell…. no oil on the floor…

went to citroen concessionário again and they told me my 6 year old car needed a new engine (more than 6.000€), at my expenses.

i know this is happenning to almost all C3 this age or these kilometers (ONLY 73.000), moreless.

you should check this out …

    citroen should be hold accountable.

custommers can’t take the cost and responsability of a design error of the engine.

I bought my C3 new in mid 2018 from my local Citroen dealer. The car has now covered 17,000 trouble free miles in 3.5 years.

The turbo charged engine is a gem. Smooth, powerful, mechanically quiet. Uses no oil & quite economical. Easily returns 56-59mpg on a run. 43mpg in town & urban use. The automatic gearbox is really good, much better than my VW dsg 7 spd units that I’ve had in the past. Unlike the dsg 7 spd units the EAT6 gearbox has proven bullet proof so far, my VW gearboxes all had serious problems needing replacement in less than 5,000 miles. Service costs are reasonable.

Overall the car is very practical & comfortable. It is loaded with tech that works well. Honestly, really pleased with it. Thoroughly recommend this car, especially if you want a comfy ride over rough roads.
